This forthcoming page will present research and academic projects produced by Nolan Gasser, and related to the topics covered in WHY YOU LIKE IT. These include projects referenced directly in the book, especially in Interlude G, involving 1) an investigation of the “aesthetic mode” of listening—including by celebrities; and 2) an original qualitative study investigating the intersection of “music preference factors”—via Pandora users—and context / listening mode / personality (see Interlude G, pages 624-25). It also includes the result of Dr. Gasser’s continuing work in the music therapy realm (see Epilogue, page 639). Stay tuned for these fun projects!
